¿Quiénes somos? | ||||||||||
| La Sociedad Botánica de México, A.C. es una asociación civil de carácter académico fundada el 4 de septiembre de 1941. Con su creación se pretendía brindar un entidad organizada formalmente que permitiera reunir a las personas cuyas actividades científicas, profesionales, técnicas o de afición estuvieran enmarcadas dentro de la botánica, o se relacionaran de manera directa o indirecta con ella. En última instancia la meta es lograr un mayor acercamiento e intercambio de ideas entre las mismas. | |||||||||||

Los objetivos establecidos inicialmente por los miembros fundadores de la Sociedad Botánica de México son los siguientes: 1. Estudiar la flora mexicana y difundir los conocimientos relativos a ella. |

| The Botanical Society of Mexico is an academic organization derived from the civil society that was founded on September 4, 1941. With its creation the expectation was to provide an organized entity capable of linking people whose activities, no matter whether they were scientific, professional, technical or of an amateur nature, were framed within the field of Botany, or were directly or indirectly related to it. Ultimately the Society’s goal is to achieve a closer understanding and exchange of ideas among its members. | |||||||||||
| Foundational goals of the Mexican Society of Botany | |||||||||||
The initial goals of the Botanical Society of Mexico put forward at the time of its foundation were the following: 1. To study the Mexican Flora and to spread the knowledge relative to it. |
